How Others Treat You

Isn't it funny how people treat you. Especially strangers or associates at work that you come in contact with. Just stop and pay attention to how they treat you. It's eye opening. Ok my stranger experience today started off early. I have a long term substitute job, but I don't have keys to the building so, either I have to wait til a teacher comes in or wait until someone let's me in from the inside. This particular morning I saw this lady walking by the door, so I knocked on the glass window. She stared at me for a few seconds and then kept walking. This other lady kinda stared and hesitated, but she let me in anyways. They don't allow children in the building til 7:55 and I'm thinking they thought I was one of the children waiting to get in. (I'm hoping they weren't just that rude!) At least that's what I'm going to continue to think because I always try to think the best of people. "Try" I said.. Lol! Another encounter was when I finally got in the building I saw a woman I haven't seen before. I smiled and spoke to her but she just looked away and kept it movin'. I was like wow! Sometimes you need the ones you mistreat. Later that morning I saw her again as I was making copies. She was like "young woman!" I stopped and turned back around. She said, "are you a student or a teacher." I was like "a teacher." She said, "could you watch my class just for a second while I go to the restroom." I smiled and said, "yeah, sure." I could have been rude like she was to me, but thought why would I want to lower myself to other people's rude behaviors? When I left school today I stopped and got gas. This lady came out of the store and started a conversation with me out of the blue. She even told me to have nice day before she got in her car. She was so nice to me and had never seen me a day in her life. It's just strange how totally opposite people's behaviors can be. It makes you think of how of you treat others. Now I'll definitely be more aware of how I treat people I know, and especially how I treat people I don't know.
